• What are the different user classes?
• Perv - The default class of new members.
• Good Perv - A regular perv only better. The person either donated, has proven (to staff satisfaction) to be one of the good guys. Or meets the promotion criteria posted in the News You Can Use or Empornium Topics forum. Good Perv promotion comes with the ability to use HTML in postings and have your own avatar.
• Sextreme Perv - Pervs that have contributed to the community in an exceptional manner, awarded at staff discreton.
  
• Smut Peddler - Long term prolific uploaders.

• How do I get an avatar &/or use Html in torrent descriptions?
  Become a Good Perv or higher.

• Why did a torrent suddenly disappear?
  Most likely it was deleted for being in violation of the uploading rules, you connect to violating torrents at your own risk of incompletion, as such it is prudent for everyone to read them even if they do not upload their own torrents.

• [Errno 2] No such file or directory: "C:Documents and Sett..."
  Right-click and use "Save As" to save the torrent, or clear your MS Internet Explorer cache (temporary internet files).

• ERROR: A piece has failed hash check.
  BT clients error-check each downloaded block of data. If a piece fails this check, it is automatically re-downloaded. Occasional hash fails are a common occurrence, so don't worry. Newer clients have a feature to auto-refuse blocks from clients that have sent xx number of bad blocks.

• My download is stuck at 99%?
  Some people mistakenly include a hidden Windows systemfile (thumbs.db) in their torrents, which doesn't get transferred. They should remake the torrent without that file. Some older BT clients also had problems getting to 100% or sending out the last missing piece..

• Can I use any BT client?
  We ONLY support uTorrent, Azureus/Vuse, BitTornado, & Deluge, many other clients have been known to cause various problems, including but not limited to, bad stats & passkey leaks, such clients have been responsible for many people getting banned.
  
  If you are using an unsupported client any problems you have are just that, YOUR problem, not ours or the people that help out in the support forum, we don't want to know about it, you're on your own.

• What if I have a problem with of some kind with a client or downloading: Google, or visit our Help & Support forum, make sure to do a forum search before posting as most problems are already well covered.
  

Login Problems

• I keep getting redirected to this FAQs page!
  You MUST email your username & registered email address to admin at empornium.us, subject MUST be: Emp Access Problem.
  
  Emails with any of the following characteristics may face auto deletion unread: Subject lines other than the precise one stated, excess use of capitals, attachment/s, impolite correspondence.
  
  
• I'm logged in but when I try to download a torrent file or access a particular page I get a "You need to be logged in" message.
  This is most likely a cookie error, make sure you cookie security setting aren't too high. Failing that try deleting your empornium cookies & login again.

• The tracker keeps telling me some other error: A quick google will usually tell you what you need to know, failing that visit our Help & Support forum, but remember to search before posting.

• I registered an account or requested a password but did not receive the email: Refer to the contact page.
  

• I've lost my username or password: Use the "forgot password" link under the login field.
  

• Login Errors: Refer to the contact page, unless your account has been inactive for more than 6 months, & the forgot password function tells you "Sorry...bad email", in this case the account has been deleted, end of July 09 this period was extended to 12 months.
